A new video has surfaced on the internet that claims the return of the much-adored and popular character Daya Ben in Taarakh Menta Ka Ooltah Chachman. Disha Vakani, who played the role of Daya, had exited the show in 2018. Since then, the makers have been looking for her replacement. Read on to know more.
Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has been one of the most loved ongoing TV shows that has been entertaining its audiences for over a decade. The first episode of the comedy show was aired on 28 July 2008 and instantly became popular among every age group.
TMKOC premiered on Sony SAB, successfully gathered the attention of national audiences with its funny storyline and characters that connected with Indians from around the country. One of the most adored characters from the show is Daya Ben.
Recently, a promo video has been circulated all over the internet featuring the character of Daya Ben back in the popular TV show TMKOC after seven long years of waiting. Many of the internet users claimed that Daya Bhabhi is back on the show.
However, the video seems to be AI-generated, and there is no official confirmation about the return of Daya Ben back in the show. But as soon as the video aired on the internet, it created a buzz among people.
In the viral clip, a woman dressed up like a Gujarati woman supposedly stepping into the iconic role of Daya Ben while the track song from the show Hey Ji Re is played in the background, creating excitement among people about the new Daya Ben.
Not just this, the viral recording also includes a video clip of producer Asit Kumar Modi in which he is saying, Hum darshako ko poora vaada karte hai ki jald aap Daya bhabhi ko humare show me dekhenge (We promise the viewers that soon you will see Daya Bhabhi in our show)
But, the video can’t be confirmed and considered valid as no information has been shared on any official handle of the producer or the TMKOC show. The video is more likely to be AI-generated, merging clips from recent and past to make it look real.
For those who don’t know, Daya Ben, aka Disha Vakan, left the popular show in 2018 and has not returned ever since. However, the makers of the show are still in the hope of her return. Asit Modi in an interview with News18, said, I feel somewhere that god will do a miracle and she will return. If she comes, then it will be a good thing. If for some reason she does not come, then I will have to bring another Dayaben for the show.
