The political tension between India and Pakistan escalated following the Pahalgam Terror Attack. The attack that took place on April 22 killed 26 innocent tourists. Yesterday, Indian Armed Forces carried out Operation Sindoor reportedly targeting 9 terror sites in Pakistan. Following these events, now Ministry of Information and Broadcast (I&B) has issued an order to all the OTT and media platforms.
As reported by news agency ANI, all the OTT platforms, media streaming platforms and intermediaries operating in India have been asked to halt all the Pakistan-origin content. They have been asked to discontinue the web-series, films, songs, podcasts and other streaming media content that has origins in Pakistan. This has to be put in place from immediate effect.
