We are talking about a Bollywood actress who came to Mumbai with the intention of acting in just one film. But, ended up making her debut with a cult classic. Her performance was appreciated and lauded by all. She went on to star in multiple films with Bollywood superstars. She also starred in an American movie. Can you guess who she is?

Huma Qureshi was born in a middle-class household and she completed her bachelor's in history honors. She later joined a theater group. She came to Mumbai to audition for a film, which was never made. She appeared in TV commercials. Director Anurag Kashyap saw potential in her and signed her for a three-film deal with his company.

Huma made her debut as Mohsina in the two-part thriller, Gangs of Wasseypur, and her performance made her sign more projects. She was seen in D-Day, Dedh Ishqiya, Varun Dhawan’s Badlapur, Akshay Kumar’s Jolly LLB 2, and many other films. She has worked in Hindi, Marathi, English, Malayalam, and Tamil-language movies. She was also a part of the American film Army of the Dead.

The Maharani fame wanted to be an author and marked her debut with the fantasy fiction novel, Zeba: An Accidental Superhero. Apart from acting, she even ventured into production and bankrolled the film, Double XL, under her banner, Elemen3 Entertainment. She is a sister to Bollywood actor Saqib Saleem.

On the work front, Huma will be seen in the upcoming legal drama film, Jolly LLB 3, which will be directed by Subhash Kapoor. Jolly LLB series starred Akshay Kumar, Arshad Warsi, Amrita Rao, Saurabh Shukla, and Annu Kapoor in main roles. The film is scheduled to release on September 19, 2025. Apart from this, Huma has multiple other projects in her kitty including Maharani Season 4 - the most awaited series.
