Meet India’s highest-paid actress, who was once asked to shoot in bra only, almost rejected the film, then…

Many actors and actresses worked hard to achieve what they dreamt of, and their journey is not as easy as it may seem. However, this actress is one of the highest-paid actresses in the 90s and ruled the screen during her prime and is still remembered for her beauty and charisma. However, the director Tinnu Anand cast her with Amitabh Bachchan for a film.

The particular actress we are talking about is Madhuri Dixit. She ruled the screen in the 80s and 90s and was once the highest-paid actress during her time. She was born on 15 May 1967 and has appeared in over 70 Hindi films. Dixit made her acting debut in 1984 with a leading role in the drama Abodh.

However, in the filming of the film Shanakht, Tinnu Anand once revealed that Dixit was asked to remove her blouse and shoot in a bra for a particular scene in the film. However, she said no to the scene and was almost fired. In an interview with Radio Nasha, Tinnu shared that he had walked Madhuri through the entire sequence before confirming her for the film. “I told her that you have to remove your blouse and for the first time, we should see you in your bra. And I am not going to hide anything behind a haystack or anything. Because you are offering yourself to help a man who is trying to help you. So it is a very important situation and I want to shoot it on the first day. She said okay,” He claimed.

Tinnu recalled that on the day of the shoot, Madhuri backed out. When he asked what happened, she said, “Tinnu, I don’t want to do this particular scene.” I said, “I’m sorry, you have to do this scene.” She said, “No, I don’t want to.” I said, “Okay, pack up, say good bye to the film. I’ll cancel my shoot.”

Later, Amitabh Bachchan stepped in to mediate, advising against arguing with Madhuri. Anand recalled Big B saying, “He said, ‘Let it be, why are you arguing with her? If she has an objection…’ I said, ‘If she had to object, she should have done it earlier, before signing the film.” However, Madhuri eventually came on board, and her secretary assured Tinnu that she would do the scene.
