We are talking about none other than Saroj Khan who was earlier called Nirmala Nagpal. Saroj is a very famous choreographer from Bollywood and has been known for catchy hook steps on iconic Bollywood hits, making songs timeless.
Saroj Khan has worked as a choreographer in several popular Bollywood films like Kalki, Gulab Gang, Agent Vinod, Delhi-6, Love Aaj Kal, Jab We Met, Veer-Zaara, Taal, Pardes, Raja, Yaarana, Mohrra, Baazigar, Aaina Tezaab and more.
Saroj started her career as a child artist and gained knowledge in dancing while working under film choreographer B. Sohanlal. Saroj married Sohanlal at the age of just 13 when he was 43.
Sohanlal was already married and had four kids about which Saroj didn’t knew at that time. After having three children with him includin one that died as infant, the duo got seperated. Saroj then married a businessman Sardar Roshan Khan in 1975 and converted in Islam and adopted the name Saroj Khan.
Talking about Saroj’s son named Raju Khan who reportedly first married to Shabnam Khan and were blessed with a daughter named Sana Khan. Later, he got married to Reena Roy’s sister Barkha Roy.
According to reports, Barkha Roy was earlier engaged to singer Anup Jalota and Deepak Saraf but both the relationship ended. Later, the actress got married to Mahesh Anand who played popular villain roles in Bollywood films but that marriage also didn’t last long. However, she eventually accepted to become Raju Khan’s second wife.
Madhuri Dixit was one of the biggest fans of Saroj Khan. Everytime she got the opportunity, she praised Saroj for her exceptional talent. Saroj Khan has Choreographer Madhuri in numerous iconic songs that became evergreen. Saroj Khan passed away on 3 July 2020 at the age of 71.
