Kim Soo Hyun ranks top 3 in star power ranking, trails Byeon Woo Seok; gains fan support amid dating scandal

The Queen of Tears actor Kim Soo Hyun has managed to grab the 3rd spot in Star Ranking's weekly male actor category, despite the ongoing controversy.

For the past couple of months, South Korean actor Kim Soo Hyun has been in the midst of controversy with the late actress Kim Sae Ron. However, despite losing brand endorsements, defamation, legal cases, and projects, the actor's power remains undeterred.

As per reports by Allkpop, Kim Soo Hyun has managed to grab the 3rd spot in Star Ranking's weekly male actor category. The Queen of Tears actor bagged 11,546 votes in the 110th round of the poll, replacing actor Kim Nam Gil, who acquired the same spot in the 109th round. At that time, Kim Soo-Hyun received 7th place and received only 540 votes.

Kim Soo Hyun has jumped to 3rd place, while Lee Jun Ho tops the list with 40,302 votes, and Byun Woo Seok secures 2nd place with 24,208 votes, in the latest Star Ranking poll. This marked a significant rise for Kim Soo Hyun, who had previously ranked 7th with only 540 votes. The poll was conducted from April 24 to May 1.

For the unversed, the Star Ranking poll lets fans directly vote for their favourite stars, with participants receiving certificates. Top-ranking stars enjoy perks like outdoor billboard ads, especially if they rank #1 for four weeks straight.
