Mouni added, When you are doing a genre which is a historical or a fantasy fiction or a mythological character, if you don't have the conviction as an actor, the audience are never going to believe you. You can't fool them. You can't fool anybody. But if you truly believe in the world that you are put in, that these characters are actual people, if you live their journey and do it honestly, audiences also kind of resonate.”

Mouni Roy believes that since cinema and TV serve as an escape for audiences, it's an actor's responsibility to convincingly transport them into the story. Who is not looking for an escape. Everybody comes to a theater for an escape, for entertainment, to take a good story back home. It has to have a feel good factor and has to make them feel something. And when they feel something, I think the character somewhere stays with them, she said.
