EMRAAN HASHMI

Biography : Better known as the serial kisser, Emraan Hashmi made his debut as an actor in Footpath, having worked as assistant director for Raaz with Vishesh Films. He then starred in the hugely successful romantic thriller Murder (2004). Initially, he worked mostly under the Vishesh Films banner, prompting critics to write him off for his repetitive roles. But he soon established himself with movies like Shanghai, Once upon a Time in Mumbai, The Dirty Picture and Ek Thi Dayaan, wherein his acting was widely appreciated. Although he has worked in movies of the romance, comedy and drama genres, he is best known for his performance in thriller and horror films. He is director/producer Mahesh Bhatt’s nephew. He is married and has a son. His latest release was Raja Natwarlal opposite Humaim Malick, which didn’t do well at the box office. His upcoming movies include Karan Johar’s Ungli and Danis Tanovic’s Tigers.
