The viral video (from which we have taken a screenshot) featuring Sunny Leone in a desi avatar is claimed to be shot at Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj. The recording immediately went viral on the internet as it captured Sunny visiting the ghat.
In the aforementioned video, Sunny was seen wearing a pink suit. She finished the look by wearing heavy earrings and a bindi. She also covered her head with a dupatta. Her forehead was smeared with chandan and red tilak. This look of Sunny continues to be loved by all her fans.
After looking into it, our research reveals that the claims made by users are fake and misleading. The video of Sunny Leone, which was supposedly from the Maha Kumbh, is actually from Varanasi.
Sunny Leone visited Varanasi in 2023 to promote her music album, but the video has now been falsely linked to the Maha Kumbh. On February 21, 2025, a Facebook user shared the video with the misleading caption, Purifying herself from all sins, here comes everyone’s favorite Sunny Leone. However, this claim is completely false.
Since the post went up, the video quickly went viral, with many users sharing it along with the same misleading claim, causing confusion across the internet. However, after thorough investigation, it’s clear that the video is actually two years old and has no connection to the Maha Kumbh. It was simply from Sunny Leone’s visit to Varanasi in 2023 for her music album promotion.
