Madhuri Dixit made her Bollywood debut with the film Abodh in 1984. Over the years, she appeared in some of the biggest films like Tezaab, Ram Lakhan, Tridev, Saajan, Beta, and others. Her hit films like Hum Aapke Hai Koun, Dil Toh Pagal Hai and more are still loved and cherished.
But in 1999, Madhuri Dixit surprised all with her decision to get married. She tied the knot with Dr Sriram Nene and moved abroad. It was at the peak of her career that she chose to take a break from films and concentrate on her family life.
In an interview with Galatta, Madhuri Dixit once spoke about being away from the public eye and not missing it at all. She said, 'I loved what I do. I love acting, dancing and everything to do with my profession. Anything else is just bonus like people considering you as a star. But I haven't ever felt that way about me. So for me, it was never like, ‘Oh my god, I am going away from the public eye. I am getting married at the peak of my career.' I never thought of it that way.'
Reportedly, Madhuri Dixit even received offers for Hollywood films. She once revealed that she had to reject the offers as she was pregnant with her second child. 'I didn't want to work when I was pregnant,' she explained in an interview with News18.
The actress made a comeback with the movie Aaja Nachle. She then appeared in movies like Dedh Ishqiya, Gulaab Gang, Kalank and many more.
Madhuri Dixit's latest movie was Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. The film that starred Kartik Aaryan and Vidya Balan turned out to be a major box office success.
