The diva is Rimi Sen. She entered Bollywood with hit film Hungama. It released in the year 2003 and turned out to be a superhit. She shared the screen space with Akshaye Khanna in the film.
Rimi Sen was one of the leading ladies in 2000s as she got to share screen space with top stars like Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn, John Abraham and many more. She was a part of movies like Baghban (2003), Dhoom (2004), Garam Masala (2005), Kyon Ki (2005), Phir Hera Pheri (2006), and Golmaal: Fun Unlimited (2006), Johnny Gaddaar (2007).
Rimi was in the race to popularity when actresses like Priyanka Chopra, Katrina Kaif and many others had kicked off their career and served as tough competitors.
However, Rimi Sen surprised all with her early retirement. After being in the industry for eight years, she chose to quit. She was being offered many projects but she lost interest.
In an interview with Bombay Times, she revealed the reason for quitting Bollywood. She said that she was being offered repetitive movies. The actress shared, 'I had lost interest in the film industry. Offers had got repetitive; I was getting roles in only comedy films. I had started my career in the top bracket, so I couldn't go further up nor I could afford to go lower.'
She further added that she was bored of being glamorous 'flower pot' in films. 'I quit Bollywood because I was done playing glamorous flower pots in films. It was boring to be solely used as a glamour prop or be told to take a hankie and fake cry in the background while the hero took centre stage,' she shared.
Recently, Rimi Sen hit headlines as a before and after picture of her went viral. Many claimed that the actress went under the knife. However, she clarified that she has neither done fillers nor Botox.
