In an interview with Bombay Times, she revealed the reason for quitting Bollywood. She said that she was being offered repetitive movies. The actress shared, 'I had lost interest in the film industry. Offers had got repetitive; I was getting roles in only comedy films. I had started my career in the top bracket, so I couldn't go further up nor I could afford to go lower.'

She further added that she was bored of being glamorous 'flower pot' in films. 'I quit Bollywood because I was done playing glamorous flower pots in films. It was boring to be solely used as a glamour prop or be told to take a hankie and fake cry in the background while the hero took centre stage,' she shared.
