We are talking about Kajol. She has been a part of hit films like Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, My Name Is Khan, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Fanaa, Baazigar and more.
However, even she has rejected a few films. But one of the films she said no to became a huge hit.
We are talking about Aamir Khan’s 3 Idiots. Yes, she was offered the main lead role in the movie. While speaking to Rajat Sharma on Aap Ki Adalat, she revealed why she turned down 3 Idiots.
She said, “Maine actually unko bola tha ki mujhe Madhavan ka role de do, main kar lungi. Lekin unhone bola ki nahi. Aapko wahi role milne wala hai heroine ka.”
She further added, “Maine bola dekho, out of 3 Idiots, one of them can be a girl. Then, he said No!” The host then added that Kajol was actually changing the entire story of the film.
Post that, it was Kareena Kapoor Khan who did that role opposite Aamir. Their chemistry as Priya and Rancho won hearts.
3 Idiots became a massive hit. It earned Rs 200 crore domestically and even today is one of the most loved movies.
