This Bollywood star demanded reportedly a staggering fee of Rs 18 crore per episode of one of the mystery thriller series that was released in 2022. The total fees of the actor charged for the whole series was over Rs 100 crores.
The actor we are talking about here is none other than Singham of Bollywood, Ajay Devgan who has been winning hearts with his exceptional on-screen performances and is popularly known for his strong acting.
Ajay Devgan is one of the most bankable stars of Bollywood who has worked on numerous hit films including Singham, Dilwale, Golmaal, Raid and others. With his brilliant performances in films, Ajay entered the OTT world with ‘Rudra-The Age of Darkness.’
Ajay Devgan made his OTT debut with Rudra-The Age of Darkness. The mystery thriller film featured Ajay along with Rashi Khanna, Esha Deol, Ashwini Kalsekar, Atul Kulkarni, Tarun Gehlot and many other stars in numerous important roles.
Ajay Devgan proved to be the most expensive star of OTT. As per reports, Ajay Devgam charged Rs 18 crores for one episode of Rudra. The series combined seven episodes, making Ajay's fees to be Rs 125 crores in total.
In the series, Rudra-The Age of Darkness, Ajay played the role of an DCP ranked police officer named Rudraveer Singh who has a unique way of working. Rudraveer breaks rules to go in depth of the conduct crime.
The series, directed by Rajesh Mapuskar, is currently streaming on Jio Hotstar. Its gripping storyline was written by Abbas Dalal, Hussain Dalal, and Jaysheela Bansal, while Chirag Mahabal and Gagan Singh Sethi contributed to the dialogue.
