Dunki actress Taapsee Pannu in an interview recalled the time when she met Shah Rukh Khan for the first time. She revealed that she, along with her sister, went to SRK’s birthday bash. SRK's manager took her to the actor and the superstar's warmest welcome left her impressed. His manager said that although she entered SRK's house for the first time and had never spoken to him earlier, he will always meet her as a close friend.

He said that he was mesmerized by SRK and was watching him. Ayushmaan said that he was spellbound and tongue-tied in front of SRK. Ayushmaan also met SRK inside Mannat and revealed that every time he meets him it is different. He even revealed that he used to buy SRK’s film tickets in black. Ayushmaan called himself a fan boy.

Karan Johar had once revealed that he met SRK at Anand Mahendroo's office to audition for the Indradhanush show on Doordarshan when he was 12. He saw another young, handsome guy sitting on the chair and ordering coffee and snacks. Later, Anand told him that the newcomer he met had been selected for the role. But SRK at that time responded that he did not want to do TV then and wanted to try his luck in cinema. But SRK has no memory of this.
