In a viral video, Elvish asks Ankita if she will play Alia Bhatt's mother on screen as she turned 40. The question didn't go well with netizens and the viral video is receiving immense backlash from netizens. Even the Pavitra Rishta actress gave it back.
In the viral video, Elvish Yadav asks Ankita, "Wikipedia aapki umar 40 batata hai toh Alia Bhatt ke saath movie karoge? Maa ka role karoge? (Wikipedia says your age is 40, so will you do a movie with Alia Bhatt? Will you play the role of her mother?"

Ankita Lokhande is taken aback by the question and asks if turning 40 makes her too old to play a mother. Lokhande reacts, "Kyu? 40 saal ki lady buddhi ho jaati hai? Main kahi se bhi buddhi lagti hoon? (Why? Does a 40-year-old woman become old? Do I look old from anywhere?"
Ankita further mentions that she has already played a mother on-screen during Pavitra Rishta, when she was much younger. The Bigg Boss OTT winner again asks Ankita if she would play Alia Bhatt's mother. To this, she responds, "No, because I don’t look like Alia Bhatt’s mother at all." Yadav then tells Ankita and Vicky Jain, "You guys should start planning a baby now, or you’ll end up welcoming a grandson instead."
