Ameesha Patel had a promising debut in the Hindi film industry. But did you know she had a high-paying job offer before she entered the industry?
Before venturing into the movies, Ameesha Patel gave up a job offer from Morgan Stanley. The actress rejected the job, as she wanted to act in Hindi films.
In 2000, Ameesha made her Bollywood debut with the movie Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai. The movie also stars Hrithik Roshan in the lead role, which was also his debut.
KNPH became a big hit at the box office. Both Ameesha and Hrithik became overnight stars with the romantic drama.
Later, Ameesha Patel appeared in Gadar with Sunny Deol, which was a hit. However, her next films, like Humraaz or Kya Yehi Pyaar Hai, didn't work well at the box office.
Ameesha's career hit a rock bottom as she gave 20 flops in a row. Some of the movies were Aap Mujhe Achche Lagne Lage Hai, Yeh Hai Jalwa, Mangal Pandey and many more.
In 2007, Ameesha appeared in the movies Honeymoon Travels Pvt Ltd and Bhool Bhulaiyaa. Both movies worked well but did nothing for Patel's career.
Ameesha stayed away from the industry for a long time after things didn't work out for her. In 2023, she made a comeback with Gadar 2, which was a blockbuster.
