We have all known the Kapoor family as Indian cinema’s first film family. Almost every generation of the family has got a superstar. However, there is one area where they fall short. They lag behind in terms of education.

But, there is one person from the family who is the only graduate in the family. We are talking about Shammi Kapoor and Geeta Bali’s son Aditya Raj Kapoor.

Talking about the educational qualifications, Ranbir Kapoor recently revealed that he was the first Kapoor boy to pass Class 10 and got 53 percent. But after his schooling, he told his parents that he is not interested in academics. He moved to New York to study filmmaking at the School of Visual Arts. He also did method acting course.

Kareena Kapoor Khan pursued commerce for two years at Mithibai College in Mumbai. She then developed an interest in law and hence joined Government Law College. However, she left the college for a year to pursue acting. Talking about Karisma Kapoor, she left school after class 6 to help her mother. She later decided to take up acting and became a superstar.

Ranbir’s sister, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni was always focused on academics. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Design and Marketing from the American Intercontinental University in London. She is the most educated member of the Kapoor family. She is married to Bharat Sahni.

Coming back to Aditya Raj Kapoor, he studied at The Lawrence School, Sanawar from 1963 to 1969. He then left studies to take up acting. He started as an assistant director under his uncle Raj Kapoor in the film, Bobby. He worked in movies like Dharam Karam, Satyam Shivam Sundaram, Geraftaar, and Ajooba. However, he went back to academics. At the age of 67, he earned a graduate degree in Philosophy via correspondence.
