Dream Girl actress Nushrratt Bharrucha recently shared her concerns on not getting appropriate roles in Hindi films industry despite giving several successful films. Here's what she said.

Nushrratt Bharucha recently spoke about the challenges she faces in getting consistent work in Bollywood. She blames it on not having industry connections like some of her contemporaries from prominent film families.
Nushrratt Bharucha is busy with promotional campaigns for her upcoming film Chhorii 2. As part of the event, she interacted with the media in an interview section. During the question and answer section, the actress shared that one of her friends is a producer and writer who asked why she is not seen in films more oftenly.
Nushrratt was stunned hearing her friend and was left speechless hearing his statement. Nushratt recalled, I had a friend of mine who's a producer and writer. He messaged me and said, 'How are you not flooded with offers? How are producers not calling you?' Responding to that question Nushratt said to the interviewer, “I was also shocked. I was like, that's very odd to hear from someone — but thik hai. Mujhe khud hi nahi pata iski kya wajah.”
Nushrratt Bharucha debuted in Bollywood in 2010 where Sonakshi Sinha entered the film industry with Salman Khan’s Dabangg and Shraddha stepped in showbiz with Teen Patti but the difference in career graph among Nushrratt and other actresses is huge.
When she was asked about the same, Nushrratt pointed out that actresses from prominent families have an edge in the industry due to their existing connections and networks, which she lacks as an outsider.
Nushrratt said, They definitely have an advantage. They know the industry, they know people. If not them, their parents do. Toh hota kya hai, woh un jagah pe pahunch jaate hain jahan main pahunch nahi paati. Woh un darwazon pe khatkhata sakte hain jahan ka mujhe address bhi nahi pata shayad. Ye bahut practical problem hai, but ye real hai.”
Nushrratt afurther added, When I did Pyaar Ka Punchnama, I wanted to message a director I really wanted to work with, but number kahan se laun? How do I meet that person? Uss waqt, I texted Kabir Khan. He replied, and that made my month. He said, 'Milne aajao.' I was so happy. It's so tough to get a number and a meeting. There's a very tough road for people not from the industry. I don't want to call them 'nepo kids' because I don't like that term. Sab actors hain.
