Varun Dhawan, one of the highest paid actors in India, was born on 24 April 1987. He is the son of film director David Dhawan. He made his acting debut in 2012 with Johar's teen drama Student of the Year.
Varun Dhawan delivered 11 consecutive hits in his first six years, including films like Main Tera Hero, Badrinath Ki Dulhania, and Dilwale. His streak drew comparisons to Rajesh Khanna, who had 17 consecutive hits in his career.
However, the actor’s career slowed down after Kalank, which underperformed at the box office. The nepotism debate also affected him. Following his initial 11 consecutive hits, four of his last six films have flopped.
