One such star is Raashii Khanna. The actress has made a name for herself in Bollywood, as well as, in the South film industry. She marked her debut in the year 2013 and since then she has played many pivotal roles in films.
Raashii Khanna marked her acting debut with Soojit Sircar's movie Madras Cafe. It starred John Abraham and Nargis Fakhri in leading roles. Raashii played the role of John Abraham's wife in the movie.
The Political action thriller received critical acclaim. All the stars were hailed for their acting prowess. The movie performed decently well at the box office. As per reports, it made around Rs 42.47 crore in India.
The film paved way for Raashii Khanna's successful journey in films. But as said, being an actress wasn't her plan. She wanted to be an IAS officer since she was good in studies.
In one of the interviews, Raashii Khanna revealed, 'I was good in studies. Initially I wanted to become a singer but in college I decided to go into administrative services. I wanted to prepare for IAS and become an officer but my luck took me to films. I never dreamt of becoming a model or an actress.' Reportedly, she took up the job of a copywriter before entering films.
Over the years, Raashii Khanna has shared screen space with top stars like Jr NTR, Shahid Kapoor, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Naga Chaitanya, Dhanush, Karthi, and many more. In recent times, she was seen with Siddharth Malhotra in Yodha.
Raashii Khanna's latest movie was The Sabarmati Report. She was seen with Vikrant Massey in the film. Her next is a Telugu movie titled Telusu Kada.
