Deepika Padukone

Deepika Padukone was born in Copenhagen, Denmark to Ujjala and Prakash Padukone. She has a younger sister named Anisha Padukone who is a golfer. Deepika, along with her family relocated to Banglore, Karnataka when she was eleven months old. She completed her schooling from Sophia High School and pre-university studies from Mount Carmel College, both in Bangaluru. Deepika was also a state-level badminton player while in high school. Deepika was completing her Bachelors in Arts (Sociology) from Indira Gandhi National Open University from Bengaluru when she debuted in movies.

But her career began with modeling once she got spotted on the ramp at NLS, Bengaluru. After that she was featured in advertisements of brands like Dabur Lal Powder, Liril, Close-Up and Limca. She was also the international spokesperson of cosmetic brand Maybelline. She started her film career with a Kannad film called Aishwarya which was released in the year 2006. After this film, the actress was offered the first Bollywood film of her career -'Om Shanti Om' which led her to got an opportunity to work with many famous stars including Badshah of Bollywood 'ShahRukh Khan'. Apart from working in Bollywood films, Deepika has also worked in Hollywood's famous film 'Triple X: Return of Xander Cage' and the film was released in the year 2017.

Deepika had an affair with Ranbir Kapoor. Both of them worked together in the 2008 film 'Bachna Ae Haseeno' and during this time they came close. She also got a tattoo of Ranbir's name but after a year or two, the two broke up due to Ranbir's cheating on Deepika. She also had an affair with Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh. Yuvraj and Deepika were seen together many times at parties and events. According to the Sutras, both were dating each other but both of them confined their relationship to the media only to friendship.

Deepika was awarded the title of Model Of The Year during the Fifth Annual Kingfisher Fashion Awards and was also chosen as the brand ambassador of Levi Strauss. Dippy was, post that, spotted in Himesh Reshammiya’s song Naam hai tera.
