Shahid Kapoor is an actor and a trained dancer. He is actor director Pankaj Kapur’s son. Starting off his career by working in music videos and advertisements, Shahid made his Bollywood debut as a background dancer in Subhash Ghai's Taal (1999). His first movie as a lead was Ishq Vishq opposite Amrita Rao. His initial films did fairly well. He went through a lean phase for a while but resurfaced with hits like Kaminay, Jab We Met, etc. He was recently seen in Vishal Bharadwaj’s Haidar, which garnered him critical praise. He was dating Kareena Kapoor but broke up with her. He was then rumoured to have been in a relationship with Priyanka Chopra.
