Vicky Kaushal's historical drama Chhaava based on Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj released on February 14, 2025. The film turned out to be a massive hit and is minting money at the box office even in its sixth week.
As per the reports, Chhaava is currently the third highest grossing film in India. It is unstoppable at the box office as fans are heaping praises of Vicky Kaushal's acting chops. Reportedly, it has made around Rs 578.65 crore with its India Net Collection.
Given that Salman Khan's Sikandar is releasing on March 30, Chhaava now has only a few days left to beat the records set by Jawan and Stree 2 to become the number one grossing film in India. However, is it possible?
The net India collection of Jawan is said to be around Rs 640.25 crore as reported by ABP Live. Thus, it appears a little difficult for Chhaava to beat the record set by Shah Rukh Khan.
On other hand, Stree 2 did a net collection of Rs 597.99 crore, as per the report. If Chhaava again picks up pace in the coming days, the target does seem impossible.
Post March 30, Chhaava will face tough competition from Salman Khan's movie Sikandar directed by AR Murugadoss. It also stars Rashmika Mandanna.
The hype around Sikandar is immense and it is expected that the movie will take box office by storm. If it does, Rashmika Mandanna will pull a hattrick with three back-to-back blockbuster hits - Pushpa 2, Chhaava and Sikandar.
