Daughter of well-known filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt and actress Soni Razdan, Alia Bhatt made her smashing acting debut with Karan Johar's directorial venture Student of the Year. The film also marked the acting debut of Varun Dhawan and Siddharth Malhotra. It turned out to be a hit and Alia was praised for her performance. Her film career started as a child artist in the film 'Sangharsh', in which she played the role of younger Preity Zinta.

After her first film, many started to compare her with Kareena Kapoor Khan. The young actress then played the lead in Imtiaz Ali's road film highway which co-starred Randeep Hooda which led her to won Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actress. Alia shed her glam-doll image and proved her versatility as an actor through 'Highway'. Though the film wasn't a box office hit, Alia charmed many with her act. Then the pretty lady was seen opposite Arjun Kapoor in 2 States, which got registers jingling at the ticket windows. Once again Alia Bhatt was praised for her acting skills. The starlet then teamed up with Varun Dhawan for Karan Johar's Humpty Sharma ki Dulhania which was a romantic comedy.

She has been awarded various awards including Screen Award and IIFA Award for Best Actress for Udta Punjab (2016), and won the Zee Cine Award for Best Actor – Female for Bollywood film Badrinath Ki Dulhania (2017), Raazi (2018), and GullyBoy (2019). Bollywood Actress Alia Bhatt has not studied much and only studied up to the school level. Her college studies could not start due to her career in Bollywood. She has worked with many popular Bollywood actors like Siddharth Malhotra, Varun Dhawan, Rishi Kapoor, Randeep Hooda, Arjun Kapoor, Ritesh Deshmukh, Shahid Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor, and Shah Rukh Khan. She has also tried hands in modeling. Apart from this, she also has great singing skills which gave her the chance of singing various popular Bollywood songs including 'Samjhawan', 'Sooha saaha', 'Ikk kudi', 'Humsafar', and 'Love you Zindagi.
