Chhaava Box Office collection Day 10: Vicky Kaushal’s film crosses Rs 300 crore mark in India; will it get another Rs 100 crore by next weekend?

Directed by Laxman Utekar, Chhaava is a cinematic adaptation of the Marathi novel Chhava by Shivaji Sawant. It features Vicky Kaushal as Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, Rashmika Mandanna as Maharani Yesubai and Akshaye Khanna as Mughal Shahenshah Aurangzeb.

Chhaava Box Office collection Day 10: Vicky Kaushal’s film crosses Rs 300 crore mark in India; will it get another Rs 100 crore by next weekend?

Vicky Kaushal's historical drama Chhaava has been successful in maintaining its strong box office performance, and has officially crossed the Rs 300 crore mark. The film, which revolves around the life of Sambhaji Maharaj, saw an incredible surge in collections after its first week in theatres.

According to early estimates from Sacnilk, Chhaava collected Rs 40 crore on Saturday. On Friday, it collected around Rs 44 crore. On Wednesday, it earned Rs 32 crore and managed to benefit from the public holiday in Maharashtra on the occasion of Chhatrapati Shivaji Jayanti. Hence, the total collection of the film stands at Rs 326.75 crore.

As interest in Sambhaji Maharaj's story continues to see a surge, Vicky Kaushal took to Instagram to express his heartfelt gratitude to his fans and the viewers. Besides thanking them for their overwhelming support, Vicky also shared his happiness that Sambhaji was finally receiving the recognition he deserved. He wrote, “No more an 'Unsung' Hero! Thank you everyone... Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj ki Jai.”

PM Narendra Modi praises Vicky-Rashmika's Chhaava

Prime Minister Narendra Modi too had recently praised Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna’s recent release Chhaava. While talking about the film, PM Modi said it is “making waves throughout the country". PM Modi also lauded both Maharashtra and Mumbai for their incredible contribution to the showbiz industry, and acknowledged their efforts to elevate both Marathi and Hindi film industries to new heights.

"It is Maharashtra and Mumbai which has given a new height to Marathi as well as Hindi cinema. And these days, Chhaava is making waves throughout the country (In dino to Chhaava ki dhoom machi hui hai). The introduction of Sambhaji Maharaj’s valour in this form has been made by Shivaji Sawant’s Marathi novel," PM Modi said while addressing Akhil Bharatiya Marathi Sahitya Sammelan in New Delhi.
